Altair

Altair has a strange quality where it is able to spin once in 10 hours in comparison to the sun rotating once in 24 hours. Because of this unusual quality the star has flattened out some. Altair is part of the constellation Aquila and is the brightest star in this constellation. The star Altair and the constellation Aquila both are Latin for eagle. In mythology this eagle was favored by Zeus and was involved in many stories. In Indian culture the star with two other stars were known as the footprint of Vishnu. Altair is also known as the 12th brightest star in the night sky.
